Lukas Vonk
Lukas Vonk (NL, 2001) has a deep fascination with the human psyche and captures this in an intriguing way through his sculptures and installations. He explores certain phenomena or human behaviour in various ways before finding ways to represent them. This often results in somewhat surrealist metaphors that do justice to the whims and vulnerability of his characters.
Vonk is an artist who, having created works of art through an intensive process, is unlikely to repeat the same approach. Each idea demands its own unique realisation; to date, Vonk has worked with ceramics, video, metal, electrical engineering, performance and materials he has developed himself.
