Heejsteck# is an artist/collector/curator-based contemporary art space in Utrecht.

In 2022, Heejsteck# was founded by Jaap Sleper (entrepreneur, collector) and artist duo V&B (Alex Jacobs and Ellemieke Schoenmaker). Heejsteck# is situated in a restored and reformed haystack located at the farm De Grote Kuil in Utrecht that dates back to the 18th century. With the restoration of this monumental haystack, a serene space has been created where you can experience the work in a green environment. Because the gallery is run by a collector, artists and a curator, different perspectives on the presentation of art are embedded in the artistic projects. With a varied programme of exhibitions, installations, participation in fairs, and art events, we offer artists a platform. The approach is personal, intuitive, and therefore accessible to a wide range of art lovers, from hardcore collector to starting art buyer.
