The exhibition Le Sacre du Printemps explores the dynamics between two extreme tendencies that coexist: the glorification versus the sacrifice of nature by humans. Artists Peter Vos, Roger Cremers and Doina Kraal share a love for the enchanting beauty of nature and the animal world. In the exhibition, they place their sense of wonder for the natural world in a long history of art forms that use nature as an endless source of inspiration. At the same time, attention is paid to the sacrifice of both nature and youth for a life in which nature is subordinate to man. A wide range of historical references resonate particularly strongly in the current era, in which war and climate change are the order of the day.
