Eady van Acker

Anyone who observes nature closely is struck by its ruthlessness, its raw forces and the overwhelming beauty it possesses. The evocative artworks of Eady van Acker (b. 1997, NL) invite us to view nature in this way and to reflect on themes such as decay, resilience and transition.
Van Acker isolates elements from plants, fossils, stones and animals, and through her specific use of materials, she enhances the narrative power of the objects. Her work is often spatial; installations are created through repetition and a specific arrangement of objects. These microcosms remind us that we are part of a larger system and that we exert influence upon it.
